Sarah Kelley Pope, 82, of Havana, FL, passed away Saturday, February 2, 2013 at her residence. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 4, 2013 at Pisgah Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Thad Marshall officiating. Interment will follow at Pisgah Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with Tim Maxwell, Rickey Pope, Alan Pope, Mark Pope, Jimmy Mullis, Jeff Mullis, Mike Mullis, and Terry Phillips serving as active pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 3, 2013 at Ivey Funeral Home. Online visitors may sign the guest register at www.iveyfuneral.com . Mrs. Pope was born January 13, 1931 in the Bell-Dixon Community, the daughter of James "Jim" Kelley and Lizzie Louvennia Cannon Kelley. She was a graduate of Climax High School, Class of 1947. She moved to Tallahassee in 1963 and retired in 1992 from the State of Florida's Bureau of Blind Services after 27 years of service. Mrs. Pope was a member of Pisgah Primitive Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Elton Eugene "Bill" Pope of Havana, FL; her son, Donald E. Pope and his wife, Dawn, of Valdosta, GA; her daughter, Cathie Pope Pedersen and her husband, Pete, of Havana, FL; her sisters, Marguerite K. Mullis of Statesboro, GA and Esther K. Maxwell of Camilla, GA; her grandchildren, Erica Pope of Tifton, GA, Lauren Pope of Valdosta, GA, Roy O. Pedersen and his wife, Rachel, of Gulf Breeze, FL, and Jodi Pedersen of Tallahassee, FL; and her sister-in-law, Drucilla Pope of Cairo, GA. Mrs. Pope was preceded in death by her brother, James Carey Kelley.
