Sarah Rathel

Sarah Rathel, 64, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at her residence. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 3, 2015 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Grubbs officiating. Interment will be at Corinth Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery with her nephews serving as active pallbearers. Mrs. Rathel was born August 26, 1950 in Donalsonville, GA, the daughter of John Elex Hall and Frances Lucille Roberts Hall. She was a graduate of Bainbridge High School, Class of 1968 and was of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Rathel loved spending time with her family, listening to gospel music and doing crossword puzzles. Survivors include her daughter, Kylie Swicord and her companion Chris Staples of Bainbridge, GA; her siblings, Wayne Hall of Bainbridge, GA, Larry Hall of Bainbridge, GA, Phil Hall and his wife, Myra, of Bainbridge, GA, Diane Long and her husband, Phil, of Bainbridge, GA, Sue Palmer and her husband Terry, of Bainbridge, GA, Terry Hall and his wife, Teresa, of Bainbridge, GA, Jean Thompson and her husband, Devin, of Faceville, GA and Diana Moore and her husband, Larry, of Bainbridge, GA; her grandchildren, Gage Swicord, Hunter Swicord, and Mackenzie Rathel. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Robert "Bob" Rathel.
