Sarah Taylor

Mrs. Sarah Elaine Stevenson Taylor of Cairo, Georgia, age 56, passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2017, at Grady General Hospital. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 pm, Friday, February 3, 2017, at Macedonia Cemetery, 131 Millpond Road in northern Grady County. The Rev. Dr. Ron McCaskill will officiate. The family will receive friend 6:00-8:00 pm, Thursday evening, at the Cadwell Chapel of Cox Funeral Home. Mrs. Taylor was a member of Pine Park Baptist Church. She enjoyed soap operas, especially The Young and the Restless. She was all about her family. Elaine loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Elaine Taylor will be deeply missed by her large family and many friends. Sarah Elaine Taylor is survived by her children, John Johnson (Heather Cliett), David Taylor, Jr., both of Cairo, Chris Taylor (Heather Corbin) of Adel, Georgia, Nichole Johnson (Michael), and Jessica Taylor (Kevin Harrell); stepchildren, Anna Taylor-Petrovich (Chris) and Maria Taylor, both of Daytona, Florida; brothers and sisters, Sue Dollar of Cairo, Jamie Cassidy (Terry) of Chesterfield, Michigan, Paul (Nikki) Stevenson of Big Spring, Texas, Jeff (Teresa) Stevenson of Kennesaw, Georgia, Tom Stevenson of Cairo, Tim Stevenson of Cairo, Lisa Stevenson of Whigham, Georgia, Cheryl (Rodney) Harrison of Calvary, Georgia; 27 grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jimmie and Evelyn Stevenson and husband, David Lawayne Taylor.
