Shari Griffin

Shari Boyd Griffin, 52, passed away Monday, June 23, 2014 in Jacksonville, FL. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 26, 2014 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Paul Medley officiating and will conclude in the chapel. Interment will be at Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. Shari was born February 2, 1962 in Bainbridge, GA, the daughter of John Lee Boyd and Julia Matthews Boyd. She was a graduate of Bainbridge High School, Class of 1980 and attended Bainbridge State College. Shari was a homemaker, a member of First Baptist Church, and recently worked for Boyd's BBQ and Grill and the Salvation Army. Survivors include her husband of 20 years, Daryl Griffin of Bainbridge, GA; her children, Preston Griffin of Bainbridge, GA, McKay Griffin of Bainbridge, GA, and Carry Griffin of Grand Ridge, FL; her brother, Russell Boyd and his wife, Christie, of Bainbridge, GA; her mother, Julia Matthews Boyd of Bainbridge, GA; and her grandchildren, Lexi Cutchin, Noah Cutchin, and Greyson Griffin. She was preceded in death by her father, John Boyd.
