Sharon Jean Alderman, 62, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Tuesday, December 12, 2017.The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 14, 2017 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Harold Burrell officiating. A private interment will be held at Roselawn Memory Gardens.The family will receive friends immediately following the service. Box 155, Bainbridge, GA 39818.Sharon Jean Alderman was born January 17, 1955 in Cairo, GA, the daughter of John Richard Alderman, Jr. and Una Mae Brooks Alderman. She was an honor graduate of Bainbridge High School, Class of 1973 and Valdosta State College. Sharon retired from the family retail clothing store, Alderman's, located on the Square in Bainbridge. She was a member of First Baptist Church.Sharon was a thoughtful and giving person. She loved her family and friends and took special interest in each one. She had a heart for all animals especially her pets. Sharon enjoyed reading and kept up-to-date on the current happenings in the world. Her kind smile and sweet spirit left a lasting impression on those that knew her.Survivors include her mother, Una Mae Brooks Alderman; and her siblings, Johnny R. Alderman, Shirley D. Alderman and Sandra M. Alderman all of Bainbridge. Sharon was preceded in death by her father, John R. Alderman, Jr.
