Shirley Gardner

Shirley Harris Gardner, 67, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Saturday, September 19, 2015 at her residence. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, September 21, 2015 at First Baptist Church with Rev. Paul Medley officiating. Interment will be at Oak City Cemetery. Mrs. Gardner was born June 6, 1948 in Marianna, FL, the daughter of Donald D. Harris and Lillian Williams Harris. She was a graduate of Marianna High School and received her business degree from Valdosta State University. Mrs. Gardner worked as an office manager for over 20 years with Charles Rozier & Associates. A member of First Baptist Church, she enjoyed Sunday school and her bible study classes. Mrs. Gardner loved to read and visit with her grandchildren. Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Robert "Bob" Gardner of Bainbridge, GA; her children, Robert Michael Gardner, Jr. and his wife, Nina, of Winder, GA and Elizabeth Gardner Stoeckel and her husband, Colin, of Fayetteville, NC; her siblings, Sandra Atkinson of Chipley, FL and Mike Harris and his wife, Patricia, of Marianna, FL; and her grandchildren, Natalie, Harrison, Bella, Sophia, Logan, Sarah, Corra and Emerie. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Donnie Harris.
