Shirley Smith

Shirley Monk Smith, 69, of Albany, GA passed away on Thursday, September 5, 2013 at Phoebe Putney Hospital in Albany, GA. She was born on March 16, 1944 in High Springs, FL to Thomas Cecil and Eloise (Goolsby) Monk. She worked with the Dougherty County School System for many years and was also secretary for the First Baptist Church of Albany. She was of the Baptist faith and attended First Baptist Church of Albany. Her survivors include, her husband,Robert Smith of Albany, GA; her daughters, Kimela Smith and her husband, Phillips, of Leesburg, GA and Paula Smith and her husband Larry Norland of Cary, NC; her grandchildren, Bryce Sidders, Clayton Phillips, Elizabeth Norland, Caroline Norland, and Davis Norland; and her brother, Tommy Monk of Bainbridge, GA. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 7, 2013 at First Baptist Church of Albany in Albany, GA with burial to follow at Oak City Cemetery in Bainbridge, GA.
