Shirley Wells

Mrs. Shirley Vonceil Helms Wells, age 79, passed away Monday, October 13, 2014, after a brief illness. She was at Big Bend Hospice in Tallahassee, Florida. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 18, 2014, at Mother's Home Church Cemetery in Miller County, Georgia. Mr. Chris Johnson will be officiating. Shirley was born in Bainbridge, Georgia on July 23, 1935. Her parents were Calvin Helms and Janie Kelly Helms. Shirley was married to Robert S. Wells, who has preceded her in death. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was truly "young at heart" . Nanny will be sorely missed by the family she loved so much. Mrs. Wells is survived by her daughters, Sheila Wells Hampton and Terry Lynn Wells, both of Tallahassee, Florida; grandchildren, Angel Browning, Robert J. Walters, Kassie Smith Almound, Kalum Wayne Smith, Lisa Marie Wells, and Daniel Clark; great-grandchildren, Kolbey J. Whitman, Kenneth Brian Almound, Summer Almound, Khi Almound, Heather Nicole Walters, Jordan Kale Lines, Justin Lane Lines, and Anastasia Nadine Smith; and brother-in-law, Leroy Wells. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and son, Robert L. (Bobby) Wells.
