Sierra Faith Underwood, age 23, of Albany, Georgia, passed away suddenly on October 12, 2025, in Newton, Georgia, following a tragic car accident
Born on December 20, 2001, in Albany, Sierra came into this world with a love for color, art, and music that would brighten the lives of everyone who knew her. She was creative and full of life - always ready with a song on her lips, a camera phone in her hand, or a new TikTok trend to share. Her laughter was infectious, and her heart was open to all. Sierra’s greatest joy and proudest accomplishment were her two beloved children, Maddilynn and Waylen. She was a devoted mother whose love for them shone brighter than anything else in her world.
Sierra Underwood is survived by her children, Maddilynn and Waylen; her mother, Danielle Underwood; her father, Benjamin Lambert; her sister, Caitlyn Miles (Nathan); and her nephew, Ezekiel Cooper. She is also survived by her brothers Colin, Cameron, Joseph, and Caleb Lambert; her aunt and uncle Melissa and Jared Perone; cousins, Jared Perone Jr. (Sara), Malori Perone (Blu), Dylan Perone (Cheyenne), and Raz Perone (Ruby); her aunt Leslee Turner; cousins Jack Webb and Aailyah Martin; and her beloved Pawpaw, Daniel Underwood (Juvy). She was preceded in death by her Nana, Susan Underwood; her Memaw, Rhonda Underwood; and her stepdad, Dana Goodwin. Sierra loved sunflowers, rainbows, and music, and she filled every space she entered with warmth and light (and little loudness). She loved deeply and made sure those around her knew it—never leaving a conversation without saying “I love you.” Her kindness, creativity, and vibrant spirit will live on in her children, her art, and the many hearts she touched.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at 2:00 PM in the Cadwell Chapel of Cox Ivey Funeral Home. Family and friends are invited to come together to celebrate Sierra’s beautiful life and the love she shared so freely. Though she is gone too soon, Sierra’s light will forever shine in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
