Stanley H. Barr, 81, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Thursday, April 30, 2020. Due to the ongoing concerns regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, a private memorial service will be held at a later date. Stanley Hester Barr was born June 16, 1938 in Winchester, VA, the son of Cecil and Clara Clevenger Barr. He graduated from James Wood High School, Class of 1957 and attended Stayer Business College. He headed south 30 years ago and continued building his legacy in the business world. Stanley is best known for his years serving home cooking at Decatur House. He loved every aspect of south Georgia particularly enjoying card games and the excitement surrounding sports. Survivors include his sister, Florence B. Legg of Winchester, VA; his nieces and nephews, Tim & Holly Legg and Suzy & Eric Pratt; and his great-nieces and nephews, Nickolas Legg, Tyler Pratt, Krysten Legg and Addison Pratt. In addition to his parents, Stanley was preceded in death by his brothers, Cecil Barr, Jr. and Leroy Barr.
