Stanley Brock

Stanley Michael Brock, 52, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Monday, March 17, 2008 at his residence. The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 20, 2008 at Sutton Chapel United Methodist Church with Rev. Lynn Roberts and Father Guy Wilson officiating. Interment will follow at Sutton Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery with Lowell Dollar, Jeff Ivey, Dargan Long, Danny Vaughn, Reese Rollins, Gene Smith, Cary Dollar, and Kenny Hollis serving as active pallbearers. The family will receive friends Wednesday, March 19, 2008 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Ivey Funeral Home. Online visitors may sign the guest register at www.iveyfuneral.com . Stanley was born December 29, 1955 in Bainbridge, GA, the son of Dewey A. and Elizabeth Hudson Brock. He graduated from Bainbridge High School in 1973 and was a partner with Brock Farms. He was a director of First National Bank of Decatur County, a director of Sowega Cotton Gin, and president of Mt. Pleasant Pre-Cooler. He was a member of Sutton Chapel United Methodist Church. Survivors include his daughter, Ashley Elizabeth Brock of West Palm Beach, FL; his mother, Elizabeth Hudson Brock of Bainbridge, GA; his brother, Dewey A. Brock, Jr. and wife Hilda of Bainbridge, GA; and Beth Anne Brock.
