Susanna Mccoy

Susanna McCoy, of Miami, FL, passed away Friday, July 2, 2021. "Suzy" never arrived anywhere without her big, beautiful smile.  You would see it glow as she shared each day with her devoted husband, Russell, and when playing with her good dog, Penny. Suzy loved the outdoors and nature.  She loved the beautiful sunsets at the cottage and was truly happy when going to the beach or just biking in the wind. Suzy planted and grew a beautiful garden and loved growing and picking veggies and local fruits. Suzy, an artist, a painter, a singer, and a beautiful free spirit, was born August 11, 1993 in Thomasville, GA later moving to Tallahassee, FL.  There she graduated from Lincoln High School in 2011 and went on to graduate from Florida State University.  Suzy earned a double major in Psychology and Human Resources. Suzy leaves behind her husband, Russell; her mother, Susan Moore; her sister, Hana; and her brother Michael.  She joins her father, Thomas J. Moore (Nevada) and her grandparents Mr. and Mrs. James Wells (Georgia) and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Moore (California). Suzy also loved with all her heart, her forever friends, Kelly, Lindsey, Shelby, and Troy, in addition to her large extended Miami family. We will never forget all of the shared good times when we saw how nice, sweet, and loving to both people and animals Suzy was.  We ask God to keep her in the palm of His hand. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Epiphany Church, 8235 SW 57 Avenue Saturday, July 10, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. Graveside services will be Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Cedar Grove Cemetery, Climax, GA. Ivey Funeral Home, 502 S. Scott Street, Bainbridge, Georgia 39819 is in charge of local arrangements.
