Teddy Hunter

Teddy A. Hunter, 87, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Tuesday, June 23, 2009 at his residence. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 25, 2009 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Milton Harrison officiating. Interment will follow at Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery. Mr. Hunter was born May 8, 1922 in Molunkus, ME, the son of Henry Hunter and Ernestine Colburn Hunter. He retired from the United States Army with twenty-one years of service, serving during World War II and Korea. He was a certified mechanic and was of the Protestant faith. Survivors include his wife of forty-six years, Mildred Hunter of Bainbridge, GA; five sons, Mark Hunter of Bainbridge, GA, Tab Hunter of Mobile, AL, Terry Hunter and his wife Elaine of Ashland, ME, Tommy Hunter and his wife Nadine of Bristol, VA and Timmy Hunter of Bristol, VA; his daugther, Kim Elaine Boyett and her husband Jimmy of Bainbridge, GA; his brother, Henry Hunter, Jr. of Macwahoc, ME; his sister, Corene Moody of Augusta, ME; and twelve grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
