Terry LeDon Cowart, 74, of Winston-Salem, NC passed away Monday, June 25, 2018.The memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Bill Mayo officiating. Private interment will follow at Brinson Cemetery.The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:45 p.m. on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at Ivey Funeral Home. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, a veteran of the U.S. Navy and was retired from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Jim Woodruff Dam near Chattahoochee, Florida. Terry loved coaching Little League Baseball, loved the outdoors and enjoyed Zydeco/Cajun dancing and music. A kind, caring man, he was devoted to his family, especially his four lovely granddaughters.Survivors include his wife, Sue Breeden Cowart; his son, Terry Cowart and his wife, Michele, of Clemmons, NC; his brothers, Don and Joe Cowart of Donalsonville, GA; and his four granddaughters, Delaney Cowart, Katie Cowart, Sophie Cowart and Mary Grace Cowart. Terry was preceded in death by his parents.
