Terry Haire

Terry Haire, 64, of Attapulgus, GA, passed away Friday, May 29, 2009 at his residence. The funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, May 31, 2009 at Bainbridge Church of God with Rev. Ray Dawson and Rev. Phillip Kirkland officiating. Interment will follow at Attapulgus Cemetery with Wayne Bennett, Dale Dawson, Steve Dawson, Greg Harrell, Scott Haire and Randall Haire serving as active pallbearers and Curtis McCorkel, Jackie Godwin, Jacky Jackson, Charles Baggett and the men of Bainbridge Church of God serving as honorary pallbearers. Mr. Haire was born February 9, 1945 in Colquitt, GA, the son of J.T. Haire and Treva Lunsford Haire. He was a graduate of Attapulgus High School, Class of 1964 and served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Mr. Haire retired from BASF Corporation (formerly Engelhard Corporation) with over forty-four years of service, served on Attapulgus City Council from 1976 to 1980 and attended Bainbridge Church of God. He was preceded in death by his sister, Faye Dawson and his grandson, Chase Wynn. Survivors include his wife of forty-three years, Hilda Dawson Haire of Attapulgus, GA; two sons, Brent Haire of Bainbridge, GA and Neal Haire and his wife Christina of Climax, GA; his daughter, Dana Wynn and her husband Chris of Climax, GA; three brothers, Robert Haire of Powder Springs, GA, Wayne Haire of Bainbridge, GA and Tommy Haire of Quincy, FL; his sister, Sherry Phillips of Tallahassee, FL; and a granddaughter, Miranda Ansley Wynn.
