Thelma Hale

Thelma Rose Hale, 94, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Monday, June 14, 2010 at Memorial Manor Nursing Home. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 16, 2010 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Shane Lovvorn officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memory Gardens. Mrs. Hale was born February 17, 1916 in Beckley, WV, the daughter of Joseph Wills and Nettie Bonds Wills. She was a homemaker and a faithful member of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church. She loved her flowers, cross-stitching, punch-stitching, and cooking for others. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Thomas Richard "Jake" O'Dell and Jess Ison Hale; two sons, Ronald Jess Hale and Lawrence "Larry" Nelson O'Dell; a brother, Howard H. Wills; and two sisters, Edith O. Via and Hallie M. Kessinger. Survivors include her son, Thomas Richard O'Dell, Jr. and his wife Barbara of Crab Orchard, WV; six grandchildren, Josh Hale, Dawson Hale, Matt Hale, Heather Keffer, Lori Benish and Kimberly Bissonette; and two great-grandchildren, Marshall Cox and Kennedy Keffer.
