Thelma Green Shepard, 92, of Climax, GA, passed away Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at Memorial Manor Nursing Home. The graveside funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 6, 2013 at New Home Free Will Baptist Church II Cemetery with Rev. S. E. Newberry officiating. Mrs. Shepard was born July 31, 1920 in Decatur County, GA, the daughter of Ivey Green and Rosa Brock Green. She was a homemaker and was a member of New Home Free Will Baptist Church II. Survivors include four generations of nieces and nephews. Mrs. Shepard was preceded in death by her husband, Neal Shepard; and her twin sister, Elma Green Taylor.
