Mr. Thomas C. Brown, Jr., age 82, passed away January 21, 2025, at his home in Cairo, Georgia.

Thomas C. Brown, Jr. was born January 10, 1943 in Cairo, Georgia, to Thomas C. Brown, Sr. and Atha Lee Bishop Brown. Thomas loved people. He was generous and kind man. He worked as a carpenter and had a lawn care business, always keeping busy. His favorite thing to do was go fishing, especially deep sea fishing. He lost his best friend a while back, Mr. H. L. Layfield, Jr., but they are having a high-ole-time fishing in Heaven.

Mr. Brown is survived by his companion of many, many years, Joanne Bodrey; his children, Sheriel Brown Barrett, Carolyn Brown, and Terry Brown; mother of his children, Libby Brown; his step-children, Wanda Layfield and Margline Thomas; siblings, Sandra Faye Reagan (Bert), Teresa Brown Lawson, and Peggy Sellars; several grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, Willard Brown, Curtis Brown, Aris Brown, and Lela Bell Busby; and step-son, James Bradford Bodrey.
