Thomas J. Widner, 55, of Colquitt, GA, passed away Saturday, January 30, 2010 at Archbold Medical Center. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 2, 2010 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Grubbs officiating. Active pallbearers will be Gary Hurst, Steve Akam, Marvin Kilgore, Anthony Whitaker, Greg Barefield, and James Barefield. The graveside service will follow at 4:00 p.m. at Gordon Cemetery in Early County, GA. The family will receive friends Monday, February 1, 2010 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Ivey Funeral Home. Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Alice Pate Widner of Colquitt, GA; his son, Thomas J. Widner, Jr. and his wife Patricia of Bainbridge, GA; his daughter, Patricia Widner of Louisville, KY; his mother, Mary Widner of Bainbridge, GA; his brother, Charles Widner of Bainbridge, GA; and two grandsons, T. J. Widner, III and Levi Widner.
