Travis Darley, 71, of Del Rio TX, passed away May 23, 2020. The memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 25, 2021 at Delwood Baptist Church with Mr. Joe Poitevint officiating. Interment will be at Delwood Baptist Church Cemetery.  Due to the ongoing concerns regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, those attending are asked to wear protective masks in accordance with the State of Georgia guidelines. James Travis Darley was born February 9, 1949 in Bainbridge GA, the son of James Melton Darley and Myrtle Burnum Darley.  He was a 1968 graduate of Bainbridge High School and was the quarterback/halfback for the Bearcats.  According to some of his teammates, he was "fast as lightning".  He served in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War.  He was a retired location manager for an automobile wire harness manufacturing company. Bass fishing was his favorite thing to do.  After Travis retired he became a licensed boat captain in order to become a fishing guide on Lake Amistad, Del Rio, TX. Travis loved fishing and guiding, but above all he loved his family and his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Survivors include his wife, Ann Middleton Darley of Del Rio, TX; his children, Clay Darley (Casey) of Thomasville, GA, Jason Darley (Adrienne) of Mobile, AL, Jep Darley (Jennifer) of Tallahassee, FL, and Sarah Beth Nalley (Bryan) of Del Rio, TX; his sisters, Ann D. Smith of Barney, GA, and Ila D. Young (Sidney) of Knoxville, TN; and his grandchildren, Chase, Hollyn, Jackson, Avery, Wyatt, Peyton, Eli, Libby, and Will.
