Vera Poitevint

Vera E. (Teva) Hart Poitevint, 82, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Wednesday, March 12, 2008 at Memorial Manor Nursing Home. The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 14, 2008 at Morningside Baptist Church with Rev. Leon VanLandingham and Rev. Joe Poitevint officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery in Vada, GA, with Paxton Poitevint, Scott Poitevint, Wayne Almand, Rodney Renfroe, Cody Enfinger, and Mike Poitevint serving as active pallbearers. Mrs. Poitevint was born August 25, 1925 in Colquitt County, GA, the daughter of Andrew J. and Minnie Mae Hart. She was a retired seamstress with Jack Winter, Inc. and a member of Morningside Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil E. Poitevint. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Elaine Poitevint of Bainbridge, GA, and Randy and Kathy Poitevint of Bainbridge, GA; three sisters, Ruth Stinson of Cordele, GA, Jayn Almand of Cordele, GA, and Pauline Hart of Yankeetown, FL; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
