Mrs. Vickie Ward Davis, 51, passed away Friday, February 2, 2007 at Archbold Memorial Hospital in Thomasville, GA. The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 5, 2007 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Rickenbacker officiating. Interment will follow at Cool Springs Cemetery near Faceville, GA. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, February 4, 2007 at Ivey Funeral Home. Mrs. Davis was born February 10, 1955 in Decatur County, GA, the daughter of Curtis J. Ward and Gerrie W. Ward. She graduated from Bainbridge High School in 1973 and the University of Georgia in 1977. She was a kindergarten teacher for Leon County School System and a member of Kappa Delta Sorority. She also catered for many different activities, including the Wednesday Night Supper at First Baptist Church in Bainbridge. She was a member of Northwoods Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Fred W. Davis of Tallahassee, FL; a daughter, Kimberly Davis, and a son, Tyler Davis, both of Tallahassee, FL; her parents, Curtis and Gerrie Ward of Attapulgus, GA; and two brothers, Elwood Ward and wife Katrine, and Kenneth Ward, all of Attapulgus, GA.
