Virginia Ouzts

Virginia Earlene Ouzts, age 85, passed away Thursday, August 1, 2019, at her home in Cairo, Georgia. Services will be held Sunday, August 4, 3:00 p.m., at Midway Baptist Church. Rev. Johnny Burdick will be officiating. The service will conclude at the church. Mrs. Ouzts will be interred in Greenwood Cemetery beside her husband, Leroy. The family will receive friends one hour before the service on Sunday, beginning at 2:00. Virginia Earlene Wilkes was born August 11, 1933 in Thomasville, Georgia. Her parents, O.D. Wilkes and Alice Baggett Wilkes, have preceded her in death. She married the love of her life, Leroy Ouzts. She and Leroy were blessed with a son, Danny Lyroy Ouzts. Earlene was a dedicated homemaker, wife, and mother. She helped Leroy in his surveying business and was a member of Midway Baptist Church. She enjoyed going fishing at their lake house and cooking for whoever came by. Earlene Ouzts will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Earlene Ouzts is survived by her grandson, Aaron Honeycutt Ouzts; brother-in-laws, Rufus Ouzts and Gene Ouzts; sister-in-law, Wylene Ouzts Harrison; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, and brothers, William and Doyle.
