Vivian Jeter Tippin, 73, of Flowery Branch, GA, formerly of Bainbridge, GA passed away Sunday, May 2, 2010 at her residence. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 6, 2010 at First Baptist Church with Rev. Robert W. Tippin officiating. Interment will follow at Oak City Cemetery with Earle Jeter, Jr., Jason Tippin, Nicholas Tippin, Glenn Tippin, Chris Kihn and Spence Gibbs serving as active pallbearers. Mrs. Tippin was born September 20, 1936 in Bainbridge, GA, the daughter of Robert Earle Jeter and Lucille Jowers Jeter. She was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church and was a former member of First Baptist Church of Bainbridge. Vivian was a records clerk for Southern Airways and worked in the accounting department of Wink Davis Equipment. She was preceded in death by her son, David Timothy Tippin. Survivors include her husband of 53 years, William G. Tippin of Flowery Branch. GA; her two sons, William G. Tippin, Jr. of Brooksville, FL, and Rev. Robert Willis Tippin of Barnesville, GA; her daughter, Anna Tippin Kihn of Louisville, KY; her brother, Robert Earle Jeter, Jr. of Whigham, GA; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
