Mr. Warren Stone Taylor, 87, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Monday, January 19, 2009 at Memorial Manor Nursing Home. The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 22, 2009 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Paul Medley officiating. Interment will follow at Oak City Cemetery. Mr. Taylor was born August 17, 1921 in Bainbridge, GA, the son of John Clyde Taylor and Martha Elizabeth McLeroy Taylor. He graduated from Bainbridge High School and attended Georgia Tech. He was a retired Resident Civil Engineer with Georgia Department of Transportation and a member of First Baptist Church. Mr. Taylor was preceded in death by his wife, Lucia King Taylor. Survivors include 2 sons, John C. Taylor of Astor, FL, and James O. Taylor and his wife Angela of Macon, GA; a daughter, Kaye T. Monello and her husband Allen of Tallahassee, FL; a brother, Francis "Chuck" Taylor of Plano, TX; and 7 grandchildren, Lindsay T. Mabry of Austin, TX, Jimmy Taylor of Athens, GA, Missy Taylor of Macon, GA, Geoff Taylor of Alpharetta, GA, Jaime Taylor of Atlanta, GA, and Christopher Taylor of Norcross, GA, and Michael Monello of West Palm Beach, FL.
