Wayne Shattles

Mr. Wayne Shattles, age 70, passed away Saturday, June 18, 2022, surrounded by his family, at his home in Donalsonville, Georgia. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, June 25, 12:00 - 4:00 p.m., at the Iron City Community Center in Iron City, Georgia. Wayne Shattles was born April 10, 1952, in Bainbridge, Georgia, to Eugene Shattles and Iva Bell Banks Shattles. Wayne was witty and loved to joke. He was full of life lessons, tall-tales, sarcasm, wisdom, love, and support for those he cared for. A lover of sweet tea and wrestling (It is real y’all!), he was an avid fan of the Florida Gators. Besides the Gators, he loved the Dallas Cowboys. He enjoyed looking nice. Wayne was a delightful flirt. He always wore a cap and has collected many, many of them. Wayne loved family gatherings and being with his loved ones. A wonderful father and great friend, Wayne Shattles will be deeply missed. Wayne Shattles is survived by his daughter, Wayna D. Williams; granddaughters, Anslee Brogdon (Jessie) and Kennedy Williams; siblings, Tommy Shattles (Arlene), Charles Shattles (Joyce), Floyd Shattles (Cheryl), Jeff Shattles (Nancy), Doris Griffin (Don), Dorothy Sellers, and Mary Kathy Jenkins and (Donny); and numerous nieces and nephews.
