W.F. Boyett

Funeral Services for Mr. William Franklin Boyett, 83, of Climax, will be held Wednesday, June 4, 2008 at 2:00 PM at Cox-Ware Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Stanley Phillips officiating. Interment will follow in Pisgah Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with James William Harrison, Ronnie Gainous, Keith Harrison, Craig Phillips, Carroll Jones and Roger Nix serving as active pall bearers. Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 4, 2008 from 1:00 PM until service time. Mr. Boyett was born April 7, 1925 to the now late Clarence and Mettie Moore Boyett, and lived all of his life in Decatur County. He was married to Christine Barber Boyett, March 14, 1952 and was happily married until his death. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran and a member of Magnolia Baptist Church. He loved his family, farming, and especially his two grandsons. He was a very giving person. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Christine Barber Boyett of Climax; one daughter and son-in-law, Frankie and Dennis Bowen of Climax, GA; two sisters, Juanita Humphrey of Climax, GA, and Florence Gillespie of Attapulgus, GA; two grandsons, Frank Bowen of Atlanta, GA, and Preston Bowen of Albany, GA; and his close friend, Buryl Harrison. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Allee Duncan.
