William Boetcher

June 29, 1930 — February 23, 2025

William Francis Boetcher, age 94, passed away on February 23, 2025. He was born in Opheim, Montana to Nellie Buckley Boetcher and Adolf Boetcher and grew up in Great Falls, Montana. After graduating high school he joined the United States Marine Corps. He later switched to the Montana Air National Guard and his Unit was activated during the Korean War. His Guard was sent to Moody Air Force Base in Valdosta, Georgia and it was there he met his bride to be, Jane Ann Harrison. After the Korean War, they returned to Moultrie, Georgia and made it their home. He began his career with Belk Hudson and worked his way up to the manager where he remained for 35 years.
Bill loved life, he loved people, and most of all, he loved the Lord. He devoted his life to Him and helped in converting many people to give their life to the Lord. Bill’s then wife, Jane Ann, sadly passed away in 2000. He began doing a lot of traveling, mainly camping at this point. It was meant to be that he met his next wife, Georgette Boetcher, during a camping excursion in Florida. They were eventually married in 2004 in Moultrie. They loved traveling together and spent a great deal of time camping all over the country and in Canada, where Georgette is originally from. They ended up living in The Villages in Florida. They were there, enjoying life immensely, for the last 14 years.
Bill is survived by his wife, Georgette Bisson Boetcher; his sons, Dale William Boetcher and Philip Howard Boetcher (Polly); his grandsons, Kellen and Jerod Boetcher; and his great-grandsons, Will and Keb Boetcher.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 pm, Friday, March 7, 2025, at First Methodist Church Fellowship Hall, Moultrie, Georgia. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Good Samaritan Counseling, P. O. Box 1343, Moultrie, Georgia 31776 (sgd.org) or to the First United Methodist Church, P. O.
