Mr. William A. Faircloth of Saint Clair Shores, MI passed away at home on Sunday, December 7, 2008 at the age of 78. The funeral service will be Friday, December 12, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Delwood Baptist Church near Camilla, GA. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Born at home in Camilla, Georgia on August 30, 1930, a son of Rayford Dooley and Nancy Jane Dollar Faircloth, he was married to his wife Barbara for 48 years. William made his home in the Detroit metro area from 1947 until he passed away. The founder and owner of Faircloth Manufacturing Company in Warren Michigan, Bill was a well known figure of the manufacturing community in the Groesbeck Highway corridor. He was also known as a Worshipful Brother of the Masonic Fraternity, a Past Master of Jefferson Lodge #553 F& A M, a member of several Masonic organizations and an ambassador of the Ancient Arabic Order, Nobles of the Mystic Shrine, Moslem Temple, Detroit. He was also an avid power boater and had been a member of the MacRay Yacht Club. William is survived by his wife Barbara Faircloth of St. Clair Shores, MI; his son Patrick Faircloth of Saint Clair Shores, MI; his morally adopted son Joseph Ferrera of Saint Clair Shores, MI; one brother Frank Faircloth of Atlanta, GA; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
