William Fleming

Mr. William L. Fleming, Sr., age 82, passed away Wednesday, December 4, 2024,
at his home in Bainbridge, Georgia. Services for Mr. Fleming will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, December 7, 2024, at the First Presbyterian Church in Bainbridge, Georgia. The Rev. Stephen Webb will be officiating. The family will receive friends before
the service, beginning at 2:00. Mr. Fleming will be interred in Oak City Cemetery with military honors.

William L. Fleming, Sr. was born August 18, 1942 in Bainbridge, Georgia, to John Moultrie Fleming and Mildred Faulk Fleming. He graduated from Bainbridge High School and Embry Riddle Aeronautical University. Bill proudly served in the United States Air Force and the U. S. Navy. He had an extensive career as an air traffic controller. Later, Bill became a real estate broker and ran Fleming Properties with his wife, Shirley. He was a member of the Kiwanis Club and worked to better his community. Bill was a dedicated and loving family man. He loved taking the family across the country on long road trips. He had a passion for all things aviation and a love for fishing, golf, and tennis. He took pride in being the cameraman at family reunions.
Committed to his family, community, and many friends, Bill Fleming will be deeply missed.

William L. Fleming, Sr., is survived by his children, Kristi Poole and husband, Tony Poole and Bill Fleming, Jr. and wife, Laura Fleming; brother, John M. Fleming, III; grandchildren, Charlotte, DiAnna, Christopher, and Merissa; and great-grandchild, Maevis Grace Craft. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Shirley Branch Fleming; daughter, Lori Vonziel Fleming; and grandchild, Sarah Fleming Craft,
