William C. "Cliff" Howell, 81, of the Faceville/Chattahoochee Community passed away Sunday, July 1, 2018.The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 5, 2018 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ron Kirkland and Rev. Roger Blevins officiating. A private interment will be held at Sylvania Cemetery.The family will receive friends immediately following the service. He was a graduate of Attapulgus High School, Class of 1954. He worked in law enforcement for over 36 years, retiring as a security supervisor for Florida State Hospital. Cliff was a member of Sycamore Baptist Church.Spending time with his family was a top priority. If given options, he would take them fishing and maybe even camping at Lake Talquin. In his younger days, Cliff enjoyed dove hunting too. From the end of March until the end of October you could count on hearing all about the Atlanta Braves, Cliff's favorite baseball team, win, lose or draw. He loved singing at good old fashioned gospel sings and in church. Cliff shared his gift singing at local nursing homes. Just One Rose Will Do will forever be Cliff's song.Survivors include his children, William Bradley Howell and his wife, Tanya, of Sneads, FL, Janet Wilson and her husband, Bill, of Leslie, MI, Dina Wilson and her husband, Jimmy, of Chattahoochee, FL, Stacy Gibson and her husband, Gary, of Sneads, FL, and Donna Ellis and her husband, Zavaughn, of Chattahoochee, FL; his grandchildren, Billy, Franky, Samantha, Tony, Joni, Joshua, Erika, Laynie, Alicia, Cierra, Dustin, Rebecca and Rea; and his great-grandchildren, Brett, Jacob, Constance, Avery, Drake, Ansley, Gracie and Kinlee. In addition to his parents, Cliff was preceded in death by his siblings, Rubye Donalson, Charles Lee Howell, Anna Grace Trammell, W.S. Howell, Henry Howell, Horace Howell, Marie Ladd, Eva Lou Rooks, Lillie Mae Stout and Elizabeth Durham.
