Willis Pittman

Willis R. Pittman, 81, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2009 at his lake home near Donalsonville, GA. The memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 25, 2009 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Stephen L. Webb officiating. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 26, 2009 at Bonaventure Cemetery in Savannah, GA. Mr. Pittman was born June 25, 1928 in Bainbridge, GA, the son of William Arthur Pittman and Gladys Rivenbark Pittman. He was a graduate of Bainbridge High School, Class of 1946, and was a retired letter carrier for the U. S. Post Office. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Alice Lanier Pittman, and a grandson, Joseph Ashley Pittman. Survivors include his daughter, Jennifer Pittman of Bainbridge, GA; his son, Robert L. Pittman and his wife Marianna of Jacksonville, FL; his twin brother, Ennis Pittman and his wife Eloise of Bainbridge, GA; and four grandchildren, David Pittman of Manhattan, KS, Andrew Pittman and Amanda Pittman of Alpharetta, GA, and Caroline Pittman of Jacksonville, FL.
