Zack Worsham

Rev. Zack J. Worsham, 80, of Whigham, GA, passed away Wednesday, April 21, 2010 at Archbold Memorial Hospital. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 24, 2010 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Ron McCaskill and Dr. Paul Jones officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memory Gardens with Jeffrey Creel, Jason Creel, Hayward Hollingsworth, Ben Brinkley, Gene Goodman and Larry Dixon serving as active pallbearers. Worsham was born May 26, 1929 in Camilla, GA, the son of Zack J. Worsham and Lilly Gray Worsham. He was a graduate of Camilla High School and Baptist Bible Institute, and served in the ministry for over 40 years in South Georgia, Alabama, and Florida. Rev. Worsham was a veteran with the U. S. Air Force, having served as a Sergeant during the Korean War. He was a member of East Side Baptist Church in Cairo, GA. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Peterman Worsham of Whigham, GA; his son, Jeff Worsham and his wife Tammie of Whigham, GA; his daughters, Dawn Creel of Panama City, FL and Diane Woodcock and her husband Larry of Jesup, GA; five sisters, Lilly McDaniel of Camilla, GA, Laura Butler of Albany, GA, Moncile Glover of Newton, GA, Emogene Sanders of Starke, FL, and Ann Peterman of Lakeland, FL; 9 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.
